Eye Tests
We recommend that everyone has an eye test at least every 2 years as part of their health care routine, some individuals and children should be seen more frequently as advised by their optician. We offer private and NHS funded tests. People under the age of 16, over 60’s, those affected by glaucoma, diabetes, or those at risk of glaucoma, are entitled to a free eye test. We strongly recommend routine care to maintain healthy eyes.
Optical Coherence Tomography
OCT scans are an additional service, it is the latest imaging technique used by opticians to obtain high resolution 3D images of the retina. During your appointment we will perform a detailed scan and the results indicate your overall eye health.
An OCT scan assists particularly in early detection, diagnosis and monitoring of various eye conditions like glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration and retinal detachments at an incredibly early stage. Having an OCT in combination with your normal eye test will allow us to obtain the most detailed information about your overall eye health. Red Eye/Flashing Lights/Floaters/GP Referral
We offer an appointment within 24 hours for customers with any of the above symptoms. Appointment includes eye examination, health check including retinal photography and referral if necessary.
Digital Retinal Photography
All of our eye tests include digital retinal photography. This means, during the test we will take a photograph of your retina (back of the eye) to identify any problems. We maintain accurate records of your photographs that can easily be compared each time you visit, enabling us to detect and monitor any changes.
