We strongly recommend routine care to maintain healthy eyes.
Optical Coherence Tomography
OCT scans are an additional service, it is the latest imaging technique used by opticians to obtain high resolution 3D images of the retina. During your appointment we will perform a detailed scan and the results indicate your overall eye health.
An OCT scan assists particularly in early detection, diagnosis and monitoring of various eye conditions like glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration and retinal detachments at an incredibly early stage. Having an OCT in combination with your normal eye test will allow us to obtain the most detailed information about your overall eye health. It is the highest level of eye care, the best you will get within a local opticians practice. Read More

Dry Eye Management (Blepharitis)
The most common cause of dry eyes is Blepharitis which is the inflammation of the eyelids, it can develop at any age but is more common in people over 40. Signs can include: itchy and sore eyelids, eyelids that stick together and are difficult to open, particularly when you wake up, and eyelashes that become crusty or greasy. Blepharitis is usually a long-term condition and most people experience repeated episodes, separated by periods without symptoms. However, a daily eyelid-cleaning routine that involves applying a warm eye bag, along with the correct professional advice, can help you to control the symptoms. We offer a dry eye service that will help you to manage your condition, there are a variety of products available at Halls for the relief and treatment of dry eye conditions.
